Library

The FIS library contains over 6000 volumes and serves both the Dassler Villa and Convent Campuses in two separate locations. It is continually being upgraded. The library subscribes to a few periodicals and the book stock is being constantly updated and expanded. The library also runs the twice-yearly EuroBook Fair which enables families to purchase quality books, thereby adding significant numbers of new books to the library stock through the free book scheme. Many families take advantage of this service.

Kindergarten students visit the library each week.  All primary students visit the library each week where they are taught basic library skills and are able to exchange books. Lower secondary students also come weekly to the library as part of their English programme and are encouraged to borrow on a regular basis too. The library is open all day. Middle and High School students are able to consult the library catalogue from a stand alone PC in the library.

The library is staffed by a teacher-librarian at each campus. Parent volunteers help with many time-consuming jobs like
reshelving..  The library is open from 9:00-3:30 Monday to Thursday and 9:00-2:30 on Friday.
