     Information

The FIS campus is divided into two parts, The Dassler Villa, located in the western part of Herzogenaurach, houses the Kindergarten and an Elementary School (Grades 1-4).  The Middle School (Grades 5-8) and High School (Grades 9, 10 and 11) are located at our Convent Campus which is in the town center of Herzogenaurach.  This building was the former home of the Maria Ward English Sisters convent.

Convent CampusDuring the summer of 2003, the FIS moved the Middle School out of our long term home at the Dassler Villa into a new site, which consists of the renovated convent building, and specially designed portable classrooms.  These facilities were upgraded in the summer of 2005 to keep pace with the demands of the educational and extra curricular program and a growing student population.  The learning environment is modern, comfortable, suitably equipped, and technologically and purposefully designed to meet our students learning needs.

Dassler Villa The FIS Sports program takes place off campus at a local gymnasium rented from the Karneval Sports Club, at the Turnerschaft all weather track and field complex, at the Berufsschule Sports Hall, or at Atlantis, a local swimming complex within walking distance of the Dassler Villa site.

All students benefit from libraries, art rooms, music rooms, and state of the art computer facilities.  Each campus has a lunch room.  The Middle/High School campus also benefits from contemporary science lab designed to support the FIS curriculum through Grade 12.

The FIS’s vision continues to be one of pointing to the construction of the school’s own purpose built campus slated for completion by September 2008 in the Roethelheimpark area of Erlangen.
